Multitude Mondays

June has been the hardest month I've walked through in years, in some ways more draining than our season of grieving Andrew. With most of my mind and thoughts on how to get through these trials, I have been out of words on what to write or share here. And when I started writing this blog my desire was it to be uplifting and not something that would discourage others.

I have been keeping up my multitude list for the most part, but it is too long at this point to share. I plan on finishing to 1,000 gifts as that is something Steve challenged me to do when I first started this list.. and hopefully I will get there soon!

I am thankful for...

Monday July 11

494. For a friend kindly cooking lunch for me and other ladies today.
495. For a productive morning and having time to rest this afternoon.

July 12

496. For Steve and Jack watching the All-Star baseball game together tonight, as he got to do with Andrew got to do three years ago.
497. That even though Andrew only lived for a short time, he still knew Derek Jeter was one of the coolest baseball players out there.
498. For a reminder to not even look at my phone while driving, after watching an accident in front of me.
499. For how my morning bible study is always exactly what I need to hear that day.

July 13

500. For the opportunity to share about my hope in Christ with an old co-worker.
501. For a friend opening up and confiding in me.

July 14

502. For knowing Jesus to make it through the trials of life.
503. For the way I have been humbled, transformed, and my eyes have been opened through this experience.
504. That the moment I first held Andrew, God knew I would not get to hold him for long.
505. That I would do it all over again even if I knew the outcome.
506. For learning that in genuinely loving someone, I also make myself vulnerable to experience great pain.
507. For the power of an encouraging word and kind words.
508. For the joy my 4 year old friend Winnie always brings to my heart.
509. For having Steve by my side today.

510. For the powerful sermon we watched tonight recommended by my sister.
511. For the brief window of opportunities God gives us to minister to others.
512. For softened hearts.
